I never thought I’d be the person to change majors in college; I knew from a young age I was born to be a photographer. After one semester of photography at ASU, I knew I needed more. I switched my major to Graphic Information Technology, which took my love for photography and expanded it to include graphic design, commercial arts, and even business strategies. 2 years later I graduated with my bachelor’s degree. I now design as my full time job and I couldn't’ be happier. My client projects ARE my passion projects.
WHAT IS A TARA TORNADO
At a very young age I gained the nickname Tara Tornado due to my wild passion for creativity. People always said they could see where I’ve been because it looked like a tornado had passed through; finished one project and off to work on the next! The tornado represents all the creativity swirling around in my head being funneled down into my work. I take the artistic elements of color, shapes, typography, and more, mix them all together and produce a cohesive design.
